Education
A campus of the University of Alaska is located in Sitka and has been noted in Business Week and Forbes for its expertise at distance-delivered education.
In addition, Sitka has three high schools, middle and elementary schools and a number of private schools. The Sitka School District encompasses grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
