According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) this share is expected to increase further in view of limited wild catches for reduction and expansion of the seafood processing industry. The growing value added products segment is also a significant producer of fish waste. Additionally, aquaculture production has been significantly increasing and adding to the demand for fish based feeds.
